About this facility
Yellow Wood Recovery offers detox and residential treatment for substance use and co-occurring mental health concerns with a holistic, evidence-based approach. Clients can transition from medically-monitored detox to residential treatment in the same intimate, home-like setting. Situated in a neighborhood with nearby parks and walking trails, clients have the opportunity to spend time in nature with fitness as part of their recovery. Yellow Wood Recovery houses 6 clients at a time and clients typically stay for about 30 days.
Yellow Wood Recovery offers several evidence-based therapy approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), mindfulness-based therapy, motivational interviewing (MI), and trauma specific therapy. Clients also participate in daily fitness and wellness activities, creative arts, and morning meditation. Groups include life skills, psychoeducation, and relapse prevention strategies. Gender-specific groups and focus groups for trauma, grief, and healthy relationships are also available. Clients have the opportunity to participate in family programs, with weekend visitation available. Staff help clients develop an aftercare plan to aid long-term recovery.
