Their approach to recovery is a blend of holistic medicine and western medicine, along with 12-Step facilitation. Tranquility Woods believes that drugs and alcohol are not the root cause of addiction, but instead that there is an underlying problem that causes clients to self-medicate.
At Tranquility Woods, a cornerstone of their program is 1-on-1 sessions. Clients receive 4 to 5 hours of individual therapy each week. Tranquility Woods develops personalized plans for treatment. They use a blend of therapies such as equine therapy, experiential therapy, group and individual therapy, massage therapy. and family counseling., dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and family counseling.
Tranquility Woods is a spacious residential home in a secluded area in Pasadena. They offer a spa-like pool and jacuzzi area. Clients have private or shared accommodations. In the bathrooms there is a soaking jet tub with a fireplace and separate showering. Tranquility Woods provides their clients with a private in house chef that prepares all meals according to dietary needs.
