On an 80-acre scenic woodland campus, The Bluffs combines proven, evidence-based treatment modalities with soul-nurturing holistic therapies to treat addiction. They craft treatment uniquely suited to client-specific needs, addressing co-occurring disorders like depression, anxiety, trauma, and post-traumatic stress disorder. They strive to treat the whole person instead of just solely treating symptoms, creating lasting healing.
The Bluffs’ medically-supervised detox in Ohio addresses the physical and mental symptoms of alcohol and drug withdrawal. Their highly-trained staff work closely with each client and their individual needs. Detox provides a structured withdrawal under the close supervision of their medical team, providing emotional support as needed. They offer medication-assisted treatment for alcohol, opioids, and more. Clients can find a safe and stable environment away from triggers to learn skills needed to find lasting sobriety.
The Bluffs offers residential care for 28–34 days. Their treatment team consists of masters-level social workers (MSWs), licensed professional counselors (LPCs), licensed chemical dependency counselors (LCDCs), and psychiatrists. Clients engage in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) in individual and group settings. To heal underlying mental health concerns, The Bluffs offers eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) and emotional freedom technique therapy (EFT). Their program is rooted in 12-Step philosophy. Family therapy includes building communication skills, working through past trauma, and integrating lifelong techniques into client’s aftercare planning.
The Bluffs uses holistic modalities like yoga, music therapy, massage, and meditation to heal the spirit in recovery. Its countryside campus features private or shared rooms, an indoor pool, a fitness center, a music therapy space, lake views, and walking trails. Chef-prepared meals can accommodate clients' dietary preferences. The Bluffs also provides specialized treatment programs for veterans, expectant mothers, and the LGBTQIA+ community.
