San Nicola offers a mediterranean escape for those looking to heal from addiction, co-occurring mental health concerns and process addictions like sex addiction, gambling, and internet addiction. Set atop the beautiful hillside in the Marche Region, San Nicola offers an unparalleled location with high-quality, holistic treatment. Notably, San Nicola is one of the only treatment centers in Italy that cater to English speaking guests. Although they can also speak Italian as well, San Nicola treats guests from all over Europe, the United States, and beyond. Clients will live in a 30-bed converted farmhouse surrounded by stunning countryside views and 20 hectares of olive grove fields. Bedrooms are modest yet modern, with full-sized beds and a private en-suite bath. Large windows let in an abundance of natural light while also providing incredible views of the hilly countryside. The spacious facility provides a plethora of activities including an on-site fitness center, recreation room, and outdoor pool, and a yoga, and meditation room. Italian and English language courses are also available to all clients as well as pasta making classes, pottery, and so much more. San Nicola’s client-centered residential program typically lasts 8-weeks and offers personalized treatment plans that are unique to the client. Treatment is based on a holistic interdisciplinary approach, which takes into account many different aspects of dependence. San Nicola treats the whole person body, mind, and spirit using dialectical behavioral techniques, mindfulness and meditation, art therapy, eye movement therapy (EMDR), 12-Step facilitation, family counseling, group therapy, and more. The expansive program also includes weekend excursions to the nearby beach with plenty of sightseeing opportunities throughout Italy.
