The Salvation Army Clitheroe Center offers a residential program for adult men with substance use and mental health challenges. Located in a quiet part of Anchorage, the center provides a safe, supportive place to recover. Clients may refer themselves or come through hospitals, jails, or community agencies. The program accepts Medicaid, insurance, and support from other organizations to help make treatment affordable.
Clitheroe offers care based on treatments proven to help people recover. Therapies include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), relapse prevention, and trauma-informed care. A team of certified counselors and experienced staff works with each client to address both addiction and mental health needs. The program also provides support after treatment to help clients continue making progress and avoid relapse.
