About this facility

This residential program supports adolescent boys ages 16–21 who are working through sexually problematic behaviors in a structured, gender-specific setting. The clinical team provides trauma-informed care throughout a typical stay of 18 to 24 months, guiding residents through emotional development, behavioral growth, and preparation for community reintegration. Clinicians lead individual and group therapy, expressive arts sessions, and conduct psychiatric and psychosexual evaluations. Treatment includes movement, drama, and art therapy to build insight, improve emotional regulation, and strengthen daily life skills. Each service aligns with clear goals focused on accountability, structure, and long-term stability. The Community Residential Center (CRC) at Riveredge Hospital operates a 14-bed unit with shared rooms and structured daily routines that support consistency and confidence. Full-time therapeutic care occurs in a safe, judgment-free setting, with services and activities that prepare each adolescent for successful transition and increased independence.
