They specialize in treating anorexia and bulimia in addition to OSFED, ARFID, diabulimia, and orthorexia. Clients can benefit from Renfrew’s variety of evidence-based therapies including creative arts therapy, nutrition therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), exposure activities, family therapy, and 12 Step facilitation as needed for clients. They provide residential and intensive outpatient care. Renfrew Coconut Creek aims to accommodate women of any life stage (adolescents, young adults, and midlife adults) with age-specific treatment for eating disorders. Their programming for adolescents features activities such as art therapy, dance movement therapy, and educational support. Additionally, Coconut Creek has a college-age treatment track that provides clients with set study times, work stations, life skills classes, and liaison services. In addition to their trauma treatment and substance use tracks, Coconut creek offers a Thirty-Something and Beyond group which features discussions of midlife issues and concerns. Overall, Renfrew Coconut Creek specializes in eating disorder treatment but addresses factors that may contribute to a client’s eating behavior. These specialized groups address co-occurring conditions, substance use, sexuality and gender, trauma and abuse, relationships, family, and life transitions. Renfrew Coconut Creek is located on a 10-acre former horse farm with lush and tropical grounds for clients to roam. Their campus has inviting gardens, comfortable therapeutic spaces, expansive grounds, and a swimming pool. During treatment, clients will primarily participate in treatment groups and meetings but also have opportunities for art and crafts, TV access, supervised phone usage, and community time. Renfrew Coconut Creek accepts both public and private insurances.
