Clients needing detox from alcohol and other substances receive medical monitoring and withdrawal management from nurses and doctors on staff, helping ensure a comfortable start to recovery. Immediately following detox, Pyramid Healthcare also offers medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to help reduce substance cravings, especially for opiates and alcohol. Pyramid Pittsburgh Detox and Residential offers individual therapy, implementing cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing (MI). Clients engage in group therapy, including life skills groups and 12-Step groups. Pyramid offers trauma-informed yoga and gender-specific recreational activities as part of a holistic treatment model. Pyramid Pittsburgh also offers legal assistance for those who need it.
