About this facility

Established in 1967 by a local pediatrician and community members, Project Eden delivers outpatient counseling, education, and support services to youth and families in the community. Since joining Horizon Treatment Services, the center has helped the youth navigate high-risk behaviors, substance use, and emotional challenges. Comprehensive services through the Youth Services Program, Lambda Youth Project, and Lambda Drop-In Center are available at no cost to participants. At Project Eden, adolescents receive individual, family, and group counseling designed to meet their emotional, social, and educational needs. The center offers evidence-based prevention programs in schools, crisis support, parent workshops, and community events. Prevention Specialists help patients build healthy decision-making skills, manage emotions, and strengthen family relationships, all within a compassionate, welcoming environment. The Lambda Youth Project, a specialized program under Project Eden, offers LGBTQIA+ youth ages 12–24 a safe space for support and community resources. Designed for those at higher risk of substance use and co-occurring disorders, the program empowers young people through counseling and youth engagement initiatives. Its services expanded with the opening of a Drop-In Center, a welcoming hub for connection, guidance, and care.
