About this facility

Set on Whipple Street in the central part of town, Polara Health's The Healing Place center helps adults facing acute or chronic mental health disorders in their residential facility. They have a team of psychiatrists, nurses, and nurse practitioners available 24/7 to help clients. Clients can receive visitors 18+ daily from 3 to 5 p.m. with approval from the clinical team. The Healing Place emphasizes whole-person care by blending evidence-based talk therapy and medical treatments in one accessible setting. They use proven approaches including individual and group counseling, peer support, psychiatric care, and case management. For treatment-resistant conditions, they can also do deep transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS). These therapies empower clients to manage symptoms, build coping skills, and improve overall quality of life. To help clients get back on their feet, Polara Health's “Thrive” peer-led daytime program and vocational services promote re-entry into the workforce. This program trains clients on professional communication, interviewing skills, time management, resume and cover letter writing, and computer skills.
