Pyramid Healthcare Asheville (previously called October Road) offers warm, compassionate and professional outpatient services to their clients who struggle with addiction. They offer partial hospitalization programs (PHP), intensive outpatient programs (IOP) and medication-assisted treatment for clients with opioid or alcohol addiction. In these programs, clients learn to create a support network, develop educational and vocational skills, improve family dynamics and communication skills, and understand the science behind addiction. If the client has a history of mental health concerns, Pyramid offers specific programs that target dual diagnoses. While clients are attending their outpatient program, Pyramid has gender-specific transitional living homes for clients to live in while in treatment. Pyramid crafts their care plans to meet their clients’ unique needs. The counselors do like using the Matrix Model which incorporates cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy and motivational interviewing to help clients throughout early recovery. They also use therapies that are intended to help clients find safety within themselves and their support network rather than using substances.
