About this facility
Located in Tigard, Oregon, Madrona Recovery offers holistic residential treatment for teens ages 13-17 with substance use and co-occurring mental health concerns. Their program is 30-45 days with 23 beds available in a comfortable, modern facility with outdoor space available. Clients have an individual room upon admission but may have a roommate later in the program.
Clients receive medication management, weekly evidenced based mental health and substance use counseling, and participate in daily groups. These groups focus on life skills, recreation, recovery skills, community building, art therapy, and play therapy. Madrona Recovery can assist with some detox symptoms, but cannot accommodate medically assisted detox. Nursing staff evaluates potential clients prior to admission to make sure they are ready for treatment at Madrona Recovery.
Madrona facilitates weekly virtual family therapy and allows phone calls with family after the first 24 hours but does not allow in-person family visits during treatment. Madrona Recovery does not require clients to participate in school, but they do facilitate continued involvement in school if desired. Participants can use a laptop during designated school hours, monitored by staff, and receive their assignments either via physical packet or digitally from their school.
