The private, residential Life Science Addiction Treatment Center is for English-speaking adults and elders seeking treatment for drug or alcohol use. They provide short, moderate, or long-term inpatient treatment that is carefully tailored to their clients. Life Science Addiction Treatment Center puts equal emphasis on the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of any additional mental health issues (for example, anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, and personality disorders). Specific program components include medical & psychiatric Assessment, education, life skills training, group & individual Therapy, exercise, leisure & recreation, and a 12-Step Introduction.
Tucked away on Quebec's Rigaud Mountain, Life Science Addiction Treatment Center provides a tranquil and natural setting for healing. This makes it possible to easily obtain medical and/or hospital services in either province. It takes 45 minutes to get to Montreal and 90 minutes to get to Ottawa. Clients stay in private, cozy quarters on a floor of the house that also has a cinema room, laundry room, and semi-private bedrooms with en suite bathrooms. Four more inpatient beds had renovations in 2015, and the entire interior underwent improvements as well.
