This peer-oriented process encourages participation in group therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), and family counselling. Additional support includes meditation, acupuncture, nutritional and fitness guidance, and 12-step integration. Through meaningful connections and community involvement, clients strengthen their Recovery Capital—the internal and external resources essential for sustained recovery.
Clients begin their recovery journey in shared accommodations to encourage connection and reduce isolation. As clients progress, private rooms may become available. The main facility features a homelike environment, while the Keystone Retreat—a 50-acre rural property—includes amenities such as a heated pool, sauna, billiards, media room, and gardens. Staff serves nutritious meals and arrange airport pickup for out-of-town clients.
Family involvement plays a key role in Last Door's approach. The Family Programme offers counselling, educational workshops, and support groups for partners, parents, and siblings. This holistic strategy ensures that clients and their families develop the tools and support systems necessary for long-term recovery.
