La Frontera Center Thornydale Ranch offers 24-hour residential treatment for adults with serious mental health conditions, substance use disorders, or both. For individuals who need intensive, around-the-clock care, the program provides a safe and structured setting that supports recovery. Surrounded by desert beauty and the calming presence of horses, the environment encourages daily routines, physical activity, and moments of reflection that complement the healing process.
Treatment is individualized and grounded in a therapeutic, supportive setting. Residents take part in a range of services, including counseling for individuals, families, and groups, as well as medication management. Evidence-based therapies such as Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT) are also integrated into care. The program is led by licensed professionals and peer specialists who foster trust, promote stability, and help residents build the skills needed for long-term recovery.
To strengthen recovery outcomes, the center offers services that address broader needs beyond therapy. Residents have access to support with housing, employment, and primary healthcare, along with wellness groups and substance use programs tailored to their goals. On-site pharmacy and lab services add convenience and continuity to care. For those with limited English proficiency, interpretation and translation are provided at no cost to ensure language is never a barrier to support.
