Juniper Canyon Treatment Center in Utah serves women 18 and older experiencing trauma, addiction, anxiety, depression, disordered eating, and relationship issues. Nestled within the compound of Legacy Treatment Center, this hybrid residential program integrates licensed mental health and substance use treatment with outdoor adventure therapy, offering both clinical care and wilderness experiences to support resilience and stability.
The trauma-informed, holistic model includes cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), internal family systems (IFS), and motivational interviewing. Clients also engage in mindfulness, yoga, equine therapy, expressive arts, and receive individual, group, and family therapy, as well as psychiatric care when needed.
Clients live in shared cabins on a remote campus in Loa, Utah, surrounded by nature. They alternate between structured outdoor therapy and time at the residential base, where they cook, manage chores, and build life skills. The campus includes therapy rooms, art and equine areas, showers, a kitchen, and 24/7 access to medical and psychiatric services.
