About this facility

Hushabye Nursery cares for newborns who were exposed to drugs before birth, especially those with Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome (NAS). These infants often face a difficult and painful start to life, and Hushabye gives them a peaceful, nurturing place to begin healing. Skilled nurses, counselors, and peer mentors work together to provide 24/7 care in private rooms where parents or caregivers can stay with their baby. What makes Hushabye special is their gentle, family-centered approach, using methods like Eat, Sleep, Console to comfort babies without relying on heavy medication. The center also supports pregnant women and parents dealing with opioid use. Programs like HOPPE help families prepare for a healthy pregnancy, safe home, and stronger bonds. Through support groups, peer mentoring, and classes, moms and caregivers learn ways to care for their babies, reduce stress, and heal from trauma. Everyone is treated with respect and kindness, no matter their background or struggles. Hushabye’s therapies focus on helping the whole family heal together. Parents take part in parenting classes, recovery groups, and trauma counseling to build skills and confidence. They also get help with housing, legal issues, and child safety planning. This full circle of care gives families the tools they need to stay together and give their children a safe, loving start in life.
