This intentionally designed center, located on 3-acres, provides a homelike and comfortable place for adolescent boys ages 12–17 facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, self-harm, trauma, and co-occurring substance use. With CPI-certified staff, a 1:1 client-to-staff ratio, and trauma-informed programming, the center creates a calm environment for healing. Hillside further ensures that educational needs are met during treatment by integrating academic support alongside therapeutic interventions.
Hillside Horizon blends evidence-based and holistic therapies to help teen boys build resilience and healthier coping skills. Their program includes individual counseling, trauma-specific therapy, art and music therapy, mindfulness, and yoga. They also offer medication management services, psychoeducation, and involve the family in treatment as appropriate. These approaches empower boys to process emotions, develop confidence, and reconnect with themselves, offering a path to long-term healing and growth.
Boys stay in a 6-bed gender-specific residence in comfortable shared rooms. An on-site chef prepares nutritious meals, and the home offers indoor comforts and outdoor amenities like a pool, basketball court, and meditation and group area to balance fun with a peaceful place to heal. With structured group times and leisure activities, boys have many opportunities to connect with peers and foster community.
