About this facility

Harmony Wheeling provides outpatient care for children, adolescents, adults, and couples with mental health and substance use disorders in view of the majestic Appalachian Mountains. The facility is open Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Friday from 8 a.m. to noon. Their therapies fuse evidence-based therapies, biomedical procedures, and medical treatment. They use acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), behavioral activation therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), family therapy, family systems therapy, humanistic therapy, interpersonal therapy (IPT), mindfulness-based stress reduction, mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT), NeuroStar-brand transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), psychodynamic therapy, Spravato medication for depression, medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for addictions, and medication management. Harmony treats both individuals and couples, and they can admit either directly or through a referral. Their couples counseling focuses on freely expressing feelings and identifying solutions collaboratively. Harmony's program Recovery-based Outpatient Opioid Treatment Services (R.O.O.T.S.) uses MAT to help clients identify the impacts of addiction. Harmony primarily administers buprenorphine (Suboxone), but they can switch to naltrexone (Vivitrol) or other medicine in certain exceptions. In addition to treatment at this location off I-70 and near the Ohio Border, Harmony has 4 other mountainous locations in West Virginia that offer similar outpatient treatment and a virtual therapy program. They are part of the larger Transformation Care Network, which provides outpatient treatment on the East Coast and in the Seattle area.
