They provide medically supported detox and residential care for a diverse range of clients. The recovery process begins at Enlighten’s state-of-the-art facility 5 minutes from downtown Kalamazoo. Enlightened Recovery focuses on treating the mind, body, and spirit. Combining strong medical and holistic components, their approach creates a comprehensive treatment experience.
Enlightened Recovery Michigan uses a treatment process that’s tailored to each client from the moment they arrive to their treatment graduation. Their 30-day residential program addresses 8 aspects of wellness: emotional, environmental, financial, occupational, intellectual, physical, social, and spiritual. Clients participate in talk therapy, group therapy, and other forms of holistic and 12-Step therapies. From gender-specific group therapy to nutrition to family therapy, each strategy gives clients the tools to embrace life fully again. The week prior to discharge, clients begin collaborating with the care team on a comprehensive aftercare plan, which may include sober living in the area.
Enlightened Recovery Michigan treats clients facing both a substance use disorder and a co-occurring mental health disorder. The interconnectedness of these issues requires an integrated approach, so Enlightened Recovery addresses both concurrently for a more effective healing process. Enlightened Recovery Michigan is a community-based facility on a large campus in a residential neighborhood. Clients stay in private or shared rooms and develop supportive relationships with their peers. Shared spaces invite clients to play games in recreation areas, rest in lounges, and pursue wellness in the fitness center. Each day, the dining room offers healthy, mostly organic meals. Clients benefit from daily housekeeping and relaxing with streaming services like Netflix.
