Kingsburg Healing Center is a Mental Health Rehabilitation Center (MHRC) supporting adults with serious mental health needs. Operated by Crestwood Behavioral Health, it was developed in partnership with Fresno County and offers a short-term, recovery-oriented program in a revitalized former hospital. The program is designed to help individuals achieve stability, restore hope, and successfully transition back into the community with renewed purpose. Treatment at Crestwood Kingsburg follows a whole-person, strengths-based model that honors each client's journey. Residents engage in dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) development, and a range of trauma-informed, recovery-centered services. Peer providers—those with lived experience—serve as mentors and allies, building connection, hope, and empowerment. Clients also benefit from life skills training, pre-vocational support, recovery education, and community reintegration planning to support long-term independence. Located in a peaceful, rural area of Kingsburg, the Healing Center offers private and semi-private rooms, communal spaces, and outdoor areasthat promote relaxation and healing.
