On 24 acres just south of Knoxville, Cornerstone of Recovery helps patients break free from drug and alcohol addiction with medical detox, personalized therapy, and wellness programs all provided on one neighborhood-like campus. Treatment plans are customized to each patient, incorporating a variety of evidence-based and experiential therapies, 12-Step principles, andmedication-assisted treatment (MAT) as needed. Cornerstone’s whole-patient approach ensures patients address physical, emotional, spiritual, and lifestyle needs. Treatment includes individual and group therapy sessions alongside experiential activities such as art, fitness, meditation, spirituality groups, yoga, and adventure-based counseling. Led by Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialists, these nature-based obstacles help patients discover strengths and work together to overcome various tasks, much like the journey to recovery. Family sessions help patients and loved ones understand the recovery process, work through relationship issues, and enhance communication. Cornerstone’s convenient, modern amenities and neighborhood-like atmosphere encourage connection with peers experiencing similar challenges. Patients feel more comfortable thanks to features like full-size beds, thermostats in each bedroom, and views of the Great Smoky Mountains. They enjoy healthy meals from a highly rated dining team and opportunities for fellowship in spacious social areas. With a 15,000-square-foot gymnasium, ropes course, and yoga areas, patients can participate in certified-instructor-led physical recreation daily. Cornerstone remains committed to each patient’s ongoing recovery after their initial treatment, offering continuing care and recovery coaching as next steps. They offer outpatient services at every level with convenient sessions allowing patients to stay engaged in their home and work responsibilities while still actively participating in treatment.
