About this facility
Avenues Recovery Center at Indianapolis is a unique, community-based residential treatment program that provides customized treatment plans specific to the individual. They offer multiple levels of care to support clients in various stages including medical detox, residential care, intensive outpatient program (IOP), and outpatient services. The primary focus is on their 30-day residential program which helps clients rebuild their lives and gain stability. Avenues Recovery treats the whole person's body, mind, and spirit. As clients progress so does individualized care. The extended care goal is to begin employment by day while continuing therapy sessions in the evenings. Life skills, wellness, nutrition, social acceptance, financial responsibilities, and family values are all key components of their treatment plans, along with individual counseling, group therapy, and 12-Step facilitation.
A typical day at Avenues Recovery includes 3 group sessions and a variety of recreational activities. Group therapy may also include discussions on a wide range of topics including art therapy, role playing, music therapy, educational seminars, fitness activities, and 12-Step discussions. In addition, all residential and PHP clients take part in yoga and meditation sessions, and spiritual sessions are available. Their alumni program includes weekly group meetings, outings, a private online group, and periodic check-ins with a counselor.
