Located right on the sunny Pacific coast, Avalon Malibu offers luxury rehab for those struggling with mental disorders and substance abuse, as well as co-occurring disorders. They are licensed to treat any mental illness from PTSD to depression as the primary disorder, and they treat a wide range of substances like alcohol, cocaine, and opiates. Their philosophy is to focus on potential rather than pathology, creating a more flexible model. In addition to their evidence-based program, they incorporate experiential therapies like Chinese medicine, herbs, and neurofeedback with mindfulness practices, like meditation, yoga, and qi gong. Avalon Malibu offers a variety of treatment plans including non-medically supervised drug and alcohol detox, inpatient and outpatient treatment, and aftercare addiction treatment. Avalon not only offers both holistic and integrative therapies, but they also offer healing activities like aquatic activities, art therapy, massages, and journaling. They have 2 different beautiful houses all on the coastline for the different types of programs: the Grand House for those struggling with psychiatric disorders and the Cottage House for substance abuse treatment. Avalon is accredited by both The Joint Commission and CARF, and also accepts most types of private insurance.
