APT Legion Clinic in New Haven offers services for individuals with substance use and co-occurring mental health concerns, including group, individual, and family therapy, medication management, and medication-assisted treatment (MAT). They also offer an intensive outpatient program (IOP) which meets three days per week and includes at least 9 hours of group therapy, individual counseling, and psychiatric consultation each week.
APT Legion Clinic offers trauma-informed, evidence-based treatment including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and motivational interviewing (MI). They also offer daily groups for a wide range of topics, including trauma, stress, job and life skills, relapse prevention, psychoeducation, goal setting, expressive arts, tai chi, meditation and mindfulness, and more. Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) options include methadone and buprenorphine. Psychiatrists monitor and prescribe medication for those who need it and help manage adjustments. Clients can participate in therapy sessions via telehealth when necessary, including during public health emergencies. APT Legion Clinic offers family and couples therapy to help clients with mental health concerns achieve their relational goals.
APT Foundation has been involved in substance use treatment since 1970. They believe in providing treatment regardless of ability to pay and offer an open access model, accepting clients regardless of financial status.
