About this facility
The A.F. Whitsitt Center treats adults 18 and older who are struggling with drug addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders. It offers several levels of care, including detox and residential treatment. An additional feature is its twelve crisis stabilization beds for individuals experiencing a crisis from opioid or stimulant use that includes a short-term relapse prevention program
The A.F. Whitsitt Center uses a holistic and trauma-informed approach to support the recovery of the patient. Treatment programs offered are medication assisted treatment (MAT) and extensive counseling. Therapies include individual, group, and gender-specific sessions that help clients build relapse prevention skills and address underlying grief and trauma, contributing to well-being.
Recovery in Motion (RIM) is a free, peer-led outpatient program providing a safe and supportive environment for patients on the road to wellness. This unique program includes educational, family and wellness-oriented activities, recreation, arts and crafts, job search assistance, harm reduction services and naloxone education. The program’s main goal is to empower people and enhance their quality of life.
The center provides a structured 4-day detox program that treats opioid addiction using medication-assisted treatment (MAT) and targeted therapies. It guides individuals toward recovery by providing vital relapse prevention counseling and discharge planning to establish healthy coping skills.
