About this facility
Harmony Academy, established in 2019, is Oregon's first tuition-free public high school dedicated to supporting students aged 14-21 in recovery from substance use disorders. Located in Lake Oswego 20 minutes from downtown Portland, the academy serves residents of Clackamas, Multnomah, and Washington counties, providing free transportation to help ensure accessibility. The school offers a safe, sober, and supportive environment where students can pursue academic excellence while focusing on their personal recovery journeys.
Harmony Academy takes a holistic approach to education and recovery. Beyond standard academic curricula, the school integrates recovery-focused programs, including daily recovery groups led by mentors with lived experience, individual and family therapy, and after-school activities designed to foster community and resilience.
